Movies and tv shows have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. At age three, my parents loaded me in the car and took me to the local Drive-In theatre to see Star Wars. It was a defining moment. The next day, I informed my parents that I knew what I wanted to do with my life…I wanted to be a Jedi.

It took a couple tries, but my Mom eventually explained to me that there was no such thing as a Jedi, and that the people I saw on screen were actors…

“OK. Then I’ll do that.”

And I’ve been chasing it ever since.

Through high school and college, I was involved in hundreds of performances of school, community and dinner theatre productions, most notably: Huck Finn in Big River, Riff in West Side Story, Duke Orsino in Twelfth Night, and Pfc. Downey in A Few Good Men.

I attended Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College) in Westminster, MD and received a Bachelors Degree in Theatre Art and Communication.

Since college, I’ve been involved almost exclusively in film and television, ranging from web series (Indie vs Studio, ParaAbnormal, Click!) to independent shorts (Full Circle, The Cool Minors) and features (Lovely Molly), to indie pilots (Naked Radio, 3View), to national commercials (Digital Cable, Comcast/Sopranos), and major studio productions (The Wire).

In 2011, I was cast as Eric, the sneezing “sh*tgibbon” on the HBO series Veep, working opposite Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, and Phil Reeves… a role that has been the best experience of my career so far.

I live on the East Coast with my wife…who I literally met on stage, at a read through for a college production…and my son.

I remain a big fan of film and television. Friends, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Alias, SportsNight, The West Wing, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, and LOST are some of my all-time favorite shows and The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, HomelandVeep, and Modern Family are some of my current favorites.

Braveheart, The Shawshank Redemption, Saving Private Ryan, Oceans Eleven, Gladiator, and Say Anything are a few of my favorite films.

…and being a fan of pretty much everything JJ Abrams has done, I’m incredibly excited to see his take on Star Wars! (And hoping I’m in a position to be involved in one of them before it’s all said and done. Then I actually CAN be a Jedi.)
